Picked up one more out of the set.

SD2 (StormDrum)

(There is a lot of material to work with here)

-----------------------------------------

Decided I had to get more of these.  EWQL libraries are AWESOME!!!  I would have to say that I would recommend these to anyone working on music.

Here are the two newest acquisitions:

QL Voices of Passion

QL RA

----------------------------------------

Well, I am finally getting back to writing real music again.  (Not just the stuff for Halloween)  Laughing

So, to try and get the real sounds I am looking for, I bought a few new sound libraries . . .

And WOW!!!

EWQL Symphonic Orchestra

EWQL Symphonic Choirs

QL Ministry of Rock

These things are amazing.  I am finally getting the sounds I am looking for.  I don't have to go digging around or trying to re-invent the wheel.

Check them out!  They are definitely worth it.

I have also created some Cubase Expression Maps for the EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold.  You can find them HERE.

The new gear and setup is AWESOME!!!

I have not used a Yamaha since the DX-7 days.  I have to learn all of my programming on that thing.  I learned a lot and it was a lot of fun.  I turned to other keyboards after that.  Ensoniq, Roland, Kurzweil, and obviously Korg.  So, maybe it was time to check out something where I started.  Yamaha.

The Board:  I am very impressed with the MO8.  Better than what I had expected.  The setup and connection to my DAW was really simple and easy.  The ability to use Studio Connections right inside Cubase is a great addition for me.  It really cuts down on time required for each setup.  The feeling of the keys is awesome.  I know it is balanced the same from bottom to top (not exactly piano) but that makes it great for doing synth or drums.

Kore 2:  Great software.  If I need to choose a sound quickly and am just looking for a few tweeks to the timbre this is perfect plug-in.  I have some more to do with the Kore Kontrol but everything is working perfectly.

Komplete 5:  WOW!!!  I have messed with this a bit in the past but . . .  WOW!!!  Everyone should have this on their music workstation.  Everything you need to create sound or complete a composition is here.  I have nothing bad to say about any of this software.

Here is a list of everything that some with it:

KONTAKT 3 - the industry-standard sampler with a 33 GB library
GUITAR RIG 3 Software Edition - the ultimate guitar and bass studio
MASSIVE - the formidable sound monster for fat basses and more
REAKTOR 5 - the extremely versatile, modular instrument studio
ABSYNTH 4 - the legendary synthesizer for vivid soundscapes
BATTERY 3 - the dedicated drum sampler providing premium drum kits
AKOUSTIK PIANO - three famous grands and one upright
ELEKTRIK PIANO - the sounds of four renowned electric pianos
B4 II - perfectly recreates the sound of the legendary B3 organ
FM8 - FM synth for crystal-clear, airy, and razor-sharp digital sounds
PRO-53 - the faithful reproduction of a synth legend

So, check out the links and check out the gear!!!!

Look back for some music I have been working on in the next month or so.
